Hossein Shareh is a Ministry of Intelligence interrogator using the aliases: Seyyed, Rahmani, Raoof, Ghaneh, etc. He operates in Mashhad as a psychologist, university lecturer (via security quotas), and sex therapist. Shareh is, in fact, one of the interrogators for the Ministry of Intelligence of the Islamic Republic. During interrogations, he directs the questioning and the course of the interrogation in a way that leads to the suspect’s psychological breakdown and traps them into confessing what the interrogator desires.

His place of operation is the main Mashhad Intelligence building, located across from Vakilabad Prison and along Shahid Ghaneh Boulevard, where prisoners are directly transferred for interrogation.

He also appears independently in some interrogation sessions, using his psychological background as a cover for sexual interrogation, psychological torture, and ultimately playing the “good cop” role to justify the regime’s actions to activists and protesters, especially women freedom seekers.

Hossein Shareh ostensibly and secretly (through staging) provides a second phone and line to female defendants, asking them to contact him if they are released on bail. After inviting them to his counseling office, the process of interrogation and confession-seeking continues in a different setting and manner. Numerous reports from female civil activist victims mention sexual propositions; if refused, he threatens to increase the severity of their case, which is this interrogator’s final tactic for fabricating subsequent charges.

The alias “Ghaneh” refers to the Mashhad Intelligence Headquarters located on Shahid Ghaneh Boulevard, which is his primary place of work.
